The design for the 50m2 apartment is to give a free, spacious and concentrating space for a couple of young architects. The solution is an open studio with a gently angles glass block wall as the only fixed partition to shield the bathroom. Sheer white draperies hung from ceiling to floor exaggerate the sectional height, providing an inexpensive system for covering wall surfaces, cabinets and doors. Natural timber panels in a minimal, abstract pattern slide and fold to reshape the space for various programmes.
